Alex, thank you for your comment and your idea. I think it's a very interesting idea. And what you bring up is a really important point: the "bank of the future" will be based on a totally different business model. That's what I love about your idea: that it is a completely differently structured approach to delivering banking services. Most of the time when industry pundits talk about the "bank of the future" they're just describing today's banking business model, but enhanced by some new technology toys. You've got a very interesting idea there, and I think it definitely qualifies as a niche bank--it's not meant to be the right option for everyone, but for those who appreciate the model it could be highly appropriate. Keep working on it! The industry needs more cool ideas to come to reality!

An idea: Pyramid Personal Banking - One person is a personal banker for another, and takes care of their entire finances. As finance power increases for the two, others are brought on so that each personal banker takes care of up to 3-4 people. Said 3-4 people also, after a certain period of time and experience, begin to earn more interest/commission/shares by becoming personal bankers for others and so on and so on. The Pyramid bank is built from there, taking the "people helping people" idea a step further and ensuring that all those involved have the best most personal "by name" customer service possible...half baked I know...
